Similan and Surin Islands
The Similan Islands are 128 square kilometres in area and are located about 100km north-west of Phuket in
the clear waters of the Andaman Sea. Since 1982 they have been declared a National Park and are now a
top destination for divers worldwide. Without doubt they are one of the best diving areas in South East
Asia for your diving Thaiand scuba diving vacations. The High Season to dive the Similan Islands is from
November through to May.


Mergui Archipelago (Burma)
remains one of the world’s last completely unspoiled and almost unexplored tourist destinations.
There are over 800 Islands, islets and outcrops and plenty of coral reefs with an abundance of wildlife
waiting to be discovered. After being off limits to any foreign visitors for over 50 years, only in 1997 the
Mergui Archipelago had been slowly opened again for mild eco-tourism, allowing only very few local and
foreign liveaboard and adventure tour operators to enter with their guests for short visits.
